We launched two new reports at last week’s workshop on Sustainable Smart and Eco-city development in Cardiff (see pdf of the programme).
The first (in English) provides a summary of some key policy pointers, based on our research in eight European and Chinese cities. It outlines some key policy directions (building the smart city), driving factors (who drives the smart city?), and challenges for smart eco-city development in future. You can download a pdf of the report here.
The second (in Chinese) summarises our various country-specific reports, to provide a snapshot of the smart-eco ‘landscape’ in the UK, France, Germany, Holland and China. You can download a pdf here.
The workshop was organised by our team members at Cardiff University, with the help of the Cardiff Confucius Institute, and in collaboration with the School of Architecture at Tianjin University, and the UK-China Research Centre for Eco-Cities and Sustainable Development.
